My Mister/ My Ajhussi TVN drama
There must be many talented people in TVN.
Just finishing watching "My Ahjussi" or "My Mister"
It's really such a heartwarming and meaningful drama.
This is my next favourite drama of TVN after "Live up to your name"
I notice this drama because IU was the lead actress and even before MA was film I read
fans were actually protesting against it due to IU and Lee Sun Kyun big age gap.
Anyway during the boardcast time, I think I am busy watching another show or what... so
I didn't actually watch it. Until recently, I was quite into Lee Seo Jin as I find him super funny.
There I realise LSJ did join 2 days 1 night- Best Friend series before so I definetly must watch it.
And guess who else is in 2D1N? Of course is Mr Ajhussi Lee Sun Kyun. Actually I know LSK since
very long ago just that I never go about watching his drama. My impression of him is he's not bad
looking and it stop there. But after watching him in 2D1N, I find him to be such a funny guy and I really like his down to earth personality. So this is what brings me to watch MA.
There are quite a lot of favourite scene and quotes from this drama.
Some scene that I like are,
1. When Park Dong Hoon and his brothers and friends walk Ji An back home after working over time. I actually repeat this scene a few times. I really like the conversation the ajhussi talk about like
how everyone will hate their managers at work, it's really a bad thing to live near your manager, how you want to avoid your manager when you saw them outside of work. haha this is so real.
And I like it when PDH elder brother yell out to a dong seng who is neighbour to Ji An to look out for her. I mean Ji An is just one employee of your brother whom you don't even know but then this action is just so heart warming. Like the neighbourhood spirit.
2. The moment when I agree PDH is really an ahjussi. Cos throughout this drama I feel that he is quite a cool manager until this scene.
The scene when he help Ji An to send her grandma to the nursing home.
Wnen they were walking to the bus stop talking about different stuff, suddenly Ji An ask him
why are you walking so fast? are you embrassed? He just slightly look back and continue walking.
And after a while we know why because the bus is reaching and he was chasing after the bus.
hahaha...and they don't even sit together after they board the bus. Actually many scene of this drama really left it to the viewers interpretation. For me I just think ya only ahjussi chase after bus. He really don't have any ill intention or uterior motive towards Ji An. He really just wants to help her and therefore after "the job" is done, he just want to go back home so he chase the bus because the nursing home should be quite far from Seoul and the next bus timing may be 30 mins to 1 hour wait so he don't want to wait in the cold.And since the journey is long, it's better to sit separately to be more comfortable too... haha just practical.
3. When Ji An is on the run because she knows that what she did will be expose.So she just went MIA at work. PDH keeps looking for her since early morning and Ji An only call him late at night to bid farewell. When he pick the phone, he says your call is early. haha this is quite funny to me and shows the ahjussi sarcastic humor.
4. Can't remember clearly but there's a scene that ajhussi team member is commenting how Ji An is so rude and cold towards them and ahjussi just reply "some people who are friendly on the outside but at home they just don't talk and care but some peope are cold outside but they treat their family really well" and ends with this question which one is better? Wow this is really words of wisdom from a ahjussi.
5. The two most hard breaking scene to me is the fighting scene between ahjussi and the loan shark and when ahjussi did not judge Ji An when he knows the truth that he kill the loan shark father but reply he will do the same if some did that to his family.
The first time Ji An really breaks down into heavy sobs when she heard them. And of course the scene when grandma pass away.
When ajhussi really guide her as an adult to face death of someone so close to her. To guide her to say goodbye to grandma when Ji An can't even face to look at her grandma at first. When Ji An really bid her grandma goodbye with the sign language. One can't help but to just cry with her.
6. I like the word of wisdom from grandma. The flash back scene when Ji An visit grandma before turning herself in. When grandma just told Ji An that she has really met a good person - ahjussi. And to repay their kindness, she has to live her life happily. Such a simple word of wisdom and so true. It may be my life motto. haha.
This is really one of the best drama for this year 2018.
I even thought why do I watch WWWSK. Like it's a waste of my time. Should just watch MA.
I think I am going to repeat MA again. But to me in reality, I don't think such a ahjussi exist.
But still we can learn from this character how not to judge people by their cover and how to extend kindness to people who need it.

oh i just like how IU mention during interview that LSK is her best partner. Such sweet words from her and so true :) Love their chemistry!
